Low Profile Bed Frames

Today's extra-plush mattresses are often much thicker and taller than older mattresses, making it difficult to get into bed-unless you use one of our low profile bed frames. These frames sit several inches lower than traditional bed frames. They make mattress height problems a thing of the past, so you can get into bed easily and sleep comfortably.

At The Sleep Shop, we also carry low-profile bed rails, which attach to a headboard and footboard to support your mattress. These rails are available with both hook-on and bolt-on attachments, so you can use them with any headboard. Be sure to check how your headboard and footboard attach before buying a set of low-profile bed rails. These rails can be used with mattress sizes from twin to king. The king size low profile bed rails include extra center supports and six legs.

Our low profile bed frames are available with feet for use on hard floors, and wheels for use on carpets or rugs. Each style is designed to minimize damage to your flooring. Wheeled styles are available in a twin/full size model, and several all-in-one models. The wide rug rollers on wheeled styles help protect your carpet, and they make your bed frame easier to move.

All-in-one bed frames can be adjusted to fit most sizes of beds, from twin to California king. The All-in-One low profile bed frame from Knickerbocker has four wheels for easy mobility and two center legs for added stability. The Knickerbocker all-in-one is remarkably strong, with two-inch angle iron and double-riveted edges.

Low profile bed frames with feet come in three sizes: twin/full, queen, and king/California king. Queen and king/California king sizes include extra center supports for stability. These frames are made from strong angle iron, their polyurethane feet are safe for hardwood floors.

While you can attach a headboard to a low-profile bed frame, the lower height might not be compatible with all bed frames. To attach a headboard, you might need to drill new holes or purchase an adapter. Mod-Adapt Headboard Bracket kits are an inexpensive solution available from The Sleep Shop.
