Bed rails are made of solid angle iron.
The usuable space on our bed side rails measures 82" - 83" long to accomodate normal queen or king size bedding.
This bed rail set is designed to be used with both a headboard and a footboard.
The 6 support legs can be adjusted from 6.5" to 9" in height.

Comments: I have a headboard and footboard purchased around 1997 that requires the hook on bed frame. I recently purchased a new mattress/boxspring from Sleepy's and they could not supply me with the type of frame I was looking for. I came upon this website and the bedframe is perfrect. It secures the headboard and footboard and gives the amount of support that is needed for the matress/boxspring warranty. The bedrame arrived within 3 days of my order and was easy to assemble.

Comments: We have a discontinued Bassett 4 poster bed. The rail was bent and one of the cross pieces broke. We called to get guidance on what would work with our bed because our measurements were slightly different. The suggestion was to do a paper cut out from a detailed drawing on the website. We tried it and felt it would work. We placed the order, the frames were there in 2 days and they fit! Clearer instructions would have been helpful, but overall we had a great experience.
