Supports Tremendous Weight. Each Bedbeam™ leg supports up to 1240 lbs each! That's more than half a ton on one leg!!
Far superior to wooden bed slats. Old fashioned wood slat systems will NOT support today's heavyweight bedding. When weight is applied to wood bed slats, the side rails bow outward, leading to support failure. The Bedbeam™ Bed Support legs are made of a high-tech reinforced composite material with interlocking ribs that lock securely in place.
The Bedbeam™ design allows you freedom to move your bed without damaging or affecting the overall characteristics of the support system. Moving any bed across the floor will put tremendous force on center support legs. Because traditional metal bed support systems are not designed to accommodate movement, many collapse when the bed is moved.
All Bedbeam™ suspension beams come with 3 leg posts to accommodate bed heights from 5" to 18"! (You cannot use this item for bed heights under 5 inches.)
The width of the Bedbeam™ is adjustable to suit just about any bed that has wooden side rails.
Adjustable width: adjusts from 59-1/4" to 63-1/4" wide.
Adjustable height: Each Bed Beam Leg is adjustable from 5" to 18" in height.

Comments: I was skeptical getting the metal rails, thinking it might put too much weight on my wooden side rail. But after setting it up I saw its legs are so wide and stable that they carry all the weight leaving no pressure on the side rails. Setting up the legs was very easy and intuitive, I didn't even read the instruction manual. Just looked at what came with it and with one look I knew what would go where.
