Modern, heavyweight bedding puts strain on wooden beds.
Mattress sets are thicker and heavier than ever before. Slow and cumulative damage can be done to wooden beds by using wood slats or old-fashioned metal supports that cannot handle these loads. Over a period of time, sagging supports cause wood side rails to twist, putting undue stress on headboards and footboards, which can warp and crack. Without proper support, your wood bed frame can flex and bow, and your mattress may begin to sag or get excessive body impressions. This does NOT take long to happen. Without a center support, your mattress can begin to bow within a few nights' use.
The Lazarbeam is different.
Competing bed supports use dual unlinked beams without a center "spine." If the bed is pushed back and forth, the legs can bend and twist under the strain, causing support to be compromised. The Lazarbeam uses a linked durable twin beam spine to obtain great strength. When linked to the support beams, this system becomes an integrated structural system with minimal flex.
For queen size beds that measure approximately 60" wide by 80" long. Threaded support legs adjust from 6" - 15" in height.
