Why we like the Beds Up Bed Elevating Insert: - Affordable doctor recommended nighttime relief* for:
- Acid Reflux/GERD
- Hiatal Hernia
- Heartburn
- Asthma
- Vertigo
- Ulcers
- Emphysema
- Safely elevates mattress and box spring with 2", 4", or 6" elevation options.
- Offers proper support to your mattress and box spring as recommended by major bedding manufacturers, including a center leg for full and queen size beds.
- If you have a headboard, the Beds Up Insert allows your headboard to sit parallel to the wall and will not put stress on headboard and footboard connections.
- The Beds Up Bed Elevating Insert is designed to fit into most complete beds or hollywood metal bed frames. The Beds Up Insert adjusts to fit twin, full, or queen size beds. Our king size Beds Up Kit comes with two inserts to hold each king box spring.
Maybe you are one of the millions of people who suffer from acid reflux. Perhaps your doctor has recommended a foam bed wedge or even a costly adjustable bed base to elevate the head of your mattress and box spring. If you've been diagnosed with Acid Reflux or GERD, the Beds Up Bed Elevating Insert reduces reflux by allowing the body to remain straight, while elevating only the upper body. Unlike adjustable bed bases that bend in the middle, the Beds Up Insert keeps the body straight to relieve pressure on the abdomen and stomach. Raising the head of your bed helps keep the food down in the stomach, reducing the chance of it and acid from moving up into the esophagus. Based on doctor recommendations, the Beds Up Insert was designed to safely and securely elevate the head of your mattress 2, 4, or 6 inches to allow for more restful sleep. - Will my mattress and box spring be taller using the Beds Up Elevating Insert? YES! Your bed will be taller when you raise the head of your bed. Obviously, the head of your bed will be raised (and thus taller) but your whole bed will be raised somewhat. We recommend using this product with a low profile box spring or even one of our low profile bed frames.
- Will my bed look funny if I use the Beds Up Elevating Insert? Yes, especially if you use the Beds Up Insert on its highest setting. Your bed will look less "funny" if you use either the 2 or 4 inch setting. Also, if you use a bed skirt or dust ruffle, consider that it may no longer reach the floor. You must weigh the importance of comfort versus aesthetics when choosing the Beds Up Elevating Insert. The Beds Up Insert is a very practical solution for raising the head of your bed, but it sure isn't pretty.
- Will my box spring slide off the bed frame? No, your box spring should not slide off the bed frame, because the Beds Up Insert uses two sturdy "L" brackets to hold the box spring in place.
- Will my mattress slide off my box spring? We've tested this in our store, and the mattress does not slide off any of our test beds. One thing our test beds have in common is the rough "sticky" fabric used on the underside of all our one-sided mattresses. If you have a two-sided mattress or a mattress with "slick" fabric on the bottom, you may experience your mattress sliding somewhat. We recommend getting a large piece of Rug Gripper from your local department store to keep the mattress in place.
*The Beds Ups Insert will not cure any disease, though it may help lessen the symptoms. Consult your doctor for other recommendations or if your condition worsens.
